Horsehead Nebula

Distance: 3.5 Light Years

I don’t have a clever reason for including the horsehead nebula (aka Barnard 33 ) as a BAT target other than the fact that I absolutely LOVE IT. Although worth mentioning that its just 3.5 light years away. Really just at the bottom of the street (galactically speaking).

Hi RES on the HEAD😁

Worth pointing out that although this is a regular target with a 2 degree(ish) FOV and NOT a lucky imaging target those of us with larger scopes can ZOOM in on the head. I have included a high res reference frame of the head for those wishing to do that.
